Roller coveyor blast machines are the preferred choice for plate work or fabrications. Loading by powered roller conveyor (typically sold separately to meet length requirements) along with exit conveyor. The machine provides a blast stream from above and below to provide a uniform clean finish on both the uppermost and down facing surface. if the process is required for fabrications then consideration should be given to whether angled blast wheels are required to ensure that leading and trailing faces are cleaned.Typical machines comprise a pre blast vestibule and exit vestibule to ensure dust and shot containment. Platework may require either powered brushes or pneumatic blow off to remove abrasive media lying on the upper surface before recycling the media back to the recovery hopper. The blast process is controlled by the variable conveyor speed with 1.5 metres per minute being a typical cleaning speed ( dependent upon blast wheel power and surface condition)
